“The Ring” is a 2002 horror film adaptation that takes place in Washington state. During our recent travels through Oregon, we discovered that the iconic lighthouse depicted in the movie is actually the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, situated in Newport, Oregon.
Towering at an impressive height of 93 feet, the lighthouse proudly holds the title of being the tallest in the state. With its first illumination taking place on August 20, 1873.
